Mineral render is a popular choice for projects in colder climates. It’s a dry-mix finish and very fast drying render so it’s a good option if you live somewhere where it can be cold and wet on a regular basis. Installation of mineral render is straightforward, as long as the temperature is above zero degrees, which reduces complications for both installer and homeowner.
There is a variety of different grain sizes of mineral render. That makes it a natural choice if you want a more customisable render finish. In essence, it can give you close to the same result as silicone render at a more affordable price.
Mineral render is often a one coat render, and the lime variant allows for breathability, flexibility and is resistant against cracks. The breathability of lime render is also a bonus if you are installing a mineral wool external wall insulation system. This is because rockwool is also highly breathable.
